The Bruschetta was born in the mills, when during the grinding of the olives, the new oil was gushing out. Common preparation of the cooking of Central Italy, now it is used during all the year. To the basic bruschetta, with the simple oil thread, many others have been created which are not very similar with the basic one, except perhaps the one with tomatoes. It was a campaign habit, above all for the breaks of the children, to prepare toasted bread slices and to rub on it a piece of tomato. |
